It's always so fun to see my Grandma when we are in SD. Her and I love to talk and we can just talk for hours. I also took her to a band concert which was fun for us both
The kids LOVED playing cards with her. They did that almost every day.

Isn't this precious!!
My Grandma has always wanted me to play flute at her funeral. Well, you can't cry and play flute at the same time so I knew that just wouldn't happen. So, this summer I surprised her Sunday morning and played several songs during church. She was so shocked and just cried. She loved it and so did the whole congregation. It made me feel really good to be able to do that for her. Here I am practicing for Sunday's service.
Of course we went for B & G ice cream. I've been going there ever since I was a child and it has always been a tradition and now we've carried on the tradition with our kids. Part of that tradition is to sing a certain song on the way to get ice cream. Well, my Grandma just loves ice cream so much and the shop loved our tradition story that for her 85th Bday, B & G ice cream, gave her free ice cream for life. As a Thank You we had it printed and it now hangs in the store with all of our names on it. Kind of cute.
