Well this trip we decided to do a quick side trip with my Mom. J and her scoped it out last year and decided that we'd all like to tour the campus of South Dakota State University (where my Mom, Aunt and Grandmother all graduated from) It was fun to see where their dorms and classes where and some of the fun places they used to go while attending SDSU.
Nick's Hamburger shop was a must!! They serve slider type burgers that are very good and the rumor is you have to eat them with chocolate milk.... So that is just what we did.
SDSU is a big agricultural school so they take milk from the cows on campus and make their own, very yummy ice cream. It was soo good.
Then we went to the Brookings Children's museum. It was so awesome. We saw a magic show and the kids were so enthralled with it, that they practiced tricks all vacation. Very fun.
They also had Tie Dye Tuesday and we all had so much fun making shirts.
Here are all of our shirts. Didn't they turn out so cool??
A playing in the "car shop" at the museum
J taking a picture with the SDSU marching band
Mom even learned how to hoop dance. She was pretty good. :}
On the campus of SDSU. This is the exact location where my Grandma walked across the stage to receive her diploma. I'm so proud of her because not many women in that day and age received their degrees.
We went to these really neat gardens so got some fun pictures of the kids and my Mom. Our handsome Austin.
F with the silly faces.
F was intent with making all of these posing pictures with Grandma. I think this one is so sweet.
My Mom was such a trooper :}
So precious!!
J is officially 5 feet tall!!!
This is the campanile at the SDSU campus. It's really tall and you can go inside and climb to the top. Of course we had to try that.
This is how we looked when we got to the top. All 180 steps :} ha,ha
