Family Reunion

While in SD we were also able to make my Dad's families reunion.  It's always really fun.  My Dad comes from a family of 9 siblings so I get to see a lot of aunts and uncles and cousins that I rarely get to see.  The kids love it too because it's out on a farm, so there is a lot of room to roam and they just loving being around all of the extended family.

The kids loved being able to gather eggs every morning.

We played 4 square most of the day.  It was so fun and great that kids (and older kids :}) were all able to play together.  This is a very athletic family so it got pretty fierce.

My cousin and my Grandma (He's had a rough 2 years going through lots of cancer stuff but he's spirit is still there and he's so fun to be around)

F loved feeding Baby B.

The whole crew was there.

The boys.

The girls

Here are just some of the cousins that were able to make it to the reunion.  I think I have 25+ cousins so it was a bummer that not everyone could make it.  (3 more came later in the day)

These are some of the Great Grandkids.  Again, we were missing quite a few.

My Dad and I and the kids.

My favorite part of the reunion has always been to sit at the campfire at the end of the night and listen to my uncles play guitar and sing.  We stayed til 1 in the morning on Sat. night.  It is just so relaxing and I absolutely love it!!

Me and my closest cousin.  We're closest in age and sort of grew up together and were the best of friends.  It's always nice to see him and catch up.  As one of the "older" cousins it's always fun to come back to the reunion and see the "younger" cousins now all graduating and getting older.  We always used to take the littler cousins on walks and doing things and this year my "littler" cousins took my kids swimming and to the park.  It's really fun to see.

Hanging by the fire at the end of the night.
