Duck Pond

The weather here has been getting colder but we have had a few very nice days, so last Friday when the kids got out of school, we decided to take the opportunity and head to the duck pond. None of us has ever been there so it was a new experience for all of us and I'm so glad we went. It was lots of fun and we must have stayed there for at least 2 hours. There were sooo many ducks and lots of different kinds and we brought bread to feed them so they really came up close and personal with us.
Some of the big Mallards and Geese.
Some of the ducks during one of their feeding frenzies.
J being a jokester. HELPPPP I'm falling in......
Our pretty sweet pea

We each picked out our favorite duck. Mine was the one right in the middle of this picture. He looked like he had the most awesome hair do. I started to call him Mohawk but the kids adopted the name "Hair Do", which I absolutely love. I imagine it was quite the sight to see when the people around us kept hearing us call "Hair Doo" Hair Doo. A would get so excited when he found him that he would literally yell at the top of his lungs, "Hair Doooo, Mom I found Hair dooo." F loved the Mallards and J liked the Buffleheads and I liked these Wood Ducks
See the duck on the left (the black one) Well that A's favorite one. He thought he looked old so his favorite was the Grandpa duck. :}
