Well our next pit stop on our summer tour adventure was to my aunt and uncle's cabin in Minnesota. My Mom and I and the kids were heading to Wisconsin for the 4th of July and to break that long road trip up a bit, we stopped and visited them at their cabin. Boy, did we have fun. They have so much room for the kids to explore and roam and we just really enjoyed their company. We first stopped in Rushford, MN and met them their for yummy breakfast and lefsa (a Norwegian treat that I love). Check out some of the fun things we did while at their house.

Some of the racks from deer that Uncle T as shoot with his bow and arrow. It was so neat because he has several of his mounts up there. (Deer, bear, fish, turkey, elk, etc...) They were HUGE!!!

Checking out the pictures from Uncle T's hunting trip.

At the Norwegian lefsa place

Introducing Josh Olie, Lena and Sven. That was their names while we were there. ha,ha

I love this picture

Sister time

I love this picture. They had such gorgeous trees on their drive in.

We all got to go on a 4 wheeler ride through the forest... it was so fun!

Ending a wonderful day with a campfire and S'Mores. Yum!!

Who knows what F was doing. ha,ha

J made Uncle T one of his special double decker S'mores.

Catching lightening bugs. The kids just LOVED this. It kept them entertained for hours

We even had a small private firework show and sparklers.

Archery lessons

Like I said, even my little girl LOVED to catch bugs. Look how huge this moth was.

We had such a wonderful time at the cabin and the kids didn't want to leave even though we had lots of fun adventures ahead. Thank you Uncle T and Aunt V for letting us come and stay. We had so much fun playing games, talking and being free at the cabin. As we were leaving we ran right into a tractor parade. Who doesn't love a parade?? So fun to see the different types of tractors and hear the different horns that they all had. Now if that isn't small town for you.

Finally, I took so many scenery pictures. I just never appreciated how green everything was when I lived in the Midwest and going back, you just see how beautiful it is. Here is a taste of some of the beautiful green hills we saw.
