Just realized I never posted on J's school year. Here are a few pictures of his last day. It was pretty emotional for him as he's made some nice friends and had a really great year. J did extremely well in band and piano (his two fine arts area of focus) He was first chair in band all year and was able to play for both piano concerts this year which were chosen by audition. Academically J is extremely smart when he applies himself. He got a few B's this year but mostly A's. He reads at an 11th grade level and is top of his class in reading, science and social studies. The teachers love him because he adds so much to their discussions in class. We had a hard time this year getting him to "try." He just didn't feel it was necessary. ha,ha I think that by the last two semesters, he had it worked out and was doing better and applying himself more. The teachers just always say how much they enjoy him in class and how friendly he is to ALL of the students and teachers.
The kids piano teacher at school gave this card to them on the last day of school. I thought it was so special for him to do, and really shows how much the kids will be missed. Bowie Fine Arts academy will be one of biggest things we'll miss when we leave this town. :{

awww what a nice card! You guys did have an awesome school there, wish so bad we had one like that here.
