J had his end of the year band performance the other night and the group has made such an improvement since the Christmas concert.  They are all 4th graders who have only been playing since September.  Here are the songs they played.  J is in the WAYY back on the left hand side and I could hardly see him at all.  

At the 1:00 minute mark the trombones stand up for their solo and you can see J's head. (he's first chair)











J has a solo in this piece.  He's the first trombone that plays the solo.  It's hard to hear him and I asked him why and he said, "I forgot to clear the spit out of my trombone so it sputtered."       Typical brass comment. :}  Still I thought it was neat that he got the part.
