Cinco de Mayo Tournament

This past weekend we had the Cinco de Mayo tournament here in Midland.  This tournament is for academy and competitive soccer teams age U7 and up.  R is the Director of the Academy program here in Midland so of course he was super involved, on top of coaching 3 different teams.  I'm still on the soccer board so I also was very involved in the tournament.  On top of all that both F and J played in the tournament itself.  They each had 3 games on Saturday which made for a very busy and long day.  J played very well and scored 4 goals.  We split his academy team in half to have another team so J's team actually played a man down and had NO subs for the whole game AND played on a bigger field than normal.  They lost one, tied one and won one but it wasn't enough to get into the championship game.  Still we were so proud of their effort and their team looked really good out there.  F's team had been sort of spotty with practices as a few of the girls had been sick and F was gone a lot for gymnastics meets but they played their heart out and won all three of their games!!  F' scored 8 goals total and played so hard.  She was just exhausted at the end.  It was all worth it though because her team got the 1st place trophy.  Congrats U7 Girls MAP Team!!!!!!!
