State Meet

Well this last weekend F had our regions (New Mexico and West Texas) state meet for gymnastics. This meet is the one that everyone uses to qualify for Nationals. She had another very successful meet.

First up was her Double Mini routine. She got 3rd place in her flight and 14th place overall (that includes all of the people in her age and her level) AND she posted a qualifying score for Nationals. We thought that was so awesome for her very first year.

Next she had Trampoline. She got 1st in her flight, 14th overall and again she qualified for Nationals.

The last event she had was floor and again she stopped before her flip flop. Not sure why or what happened but her coach is working with her on that to make sure she feels comfortable to do it for the next meet. She got 7th place in her flight and 12th place overall. She can't qualify for nationals on floor because isn't at the right level, so maybe next year.

Here is her tramp routine. It's probably the best she's ever done. With this medal, now she has a first place medal for every single event.

We're so proud of how well she's done this year, and that she's really enjoying herself. She has one last meet in Ft. Worth and it's regionals, which includes Texas and some of the surrounding states. It will be a big one. We'll keep everyone posted.
