Hose Cart and Bucket Brigades

4th of July wouldn't be the same without going to the annual Fire Dept. Bucket Brigades and hose cart races in Prescott. If you've never been, you should go because it is so fun to watch. All of the surrounding fire dept.'s compete for bragging rights and a trophy. They re-enact how they used to put out fires many, many years ago. It is so fun and the kids love it because if you're anywhere near the area... you get soaked. It draws a large crowd and there is a really neat fair at the courthouse as well. M in the firewives team.
J got to compete in a kids team as well and they WON!! He was so excited and did such an awesome job cheering his team on an making sure they stayed ahead.
Firewives doing the hosecart race. They took 1st place amoungst all of the wives teams.
J catching buckets for his team.

The winning team always gets to splash the other when the race is done. J loved that part. :}
Celebratory snow cone after the big win!

Winning wives team.
Me and the Bates
Kids playing in the water... their favorite part.
