When F wasn't competing we explored the city a bit. We walked around, shopped, ate at some yummy places and visited Union Station.

After dinner we went next door to the train station.
This was once a very busy station with hundreds of trains coming in every day. Pretty cool to see the history there.
My nephew was visiting with my parents and came to support F too. They had so much fun together hanging out.

Kansas City was full of really cool fountains.
When F was done competing we headed to visit my Aunt and Uncle and pick up A. He stayed with them for a few days and just had a blast helping my uncle at work. He wants to go back every summer now to help out at the "shop."

I had a great time with my cousins. They are much younger than me but it was so fun to spend time with them as "adults" now.

F and headed home alone. A stayed with my parents for 2 weeks of fun in Sioux Falls. We had a 5 hour layover in Denver so we treated ourselves to this yummy caramel apple.
