So after the walk in, F had a day of practice and then two days of competition. She had floor and double mini on Monday and Trampoline on Tuesday. It's such an amazing experience watching her compete at that level with not just people from her state but from the whole nation. Surprisingly, she kept her cool and really had a great time out there. She's worked so hard this past year, especially the past month and it really paid off at Nationals.
Her floor results on the jumbotron
She got 2nd place in her flight and did awesome on the floor. She ranked #18 in the nation. After struggling this year so much on floor, she was estatic with her finish.
Next up was double mini. She posted really high scores on DM and stuck one. She got 5th place in her flight.
Getting ready with one of her coaches
5th place on double mini. See the girl who got 3rd place?? That is her new teammate from Arizona. She'll be competing with North Valley Gymnastics this year.
The next day she had trampoline. Unfortunately, she sort of got a bad deal. She was the last one to have her practice session and as soon as she got off, they made her get back on to compete. Normally the kids get a small break to refocus and catch their breath. She did a good job, but definitely not as well as she's done in other competitions. She got 6th in flight.
Our happy gymnast with the family. This is her and my Dad after the competition was all over.
We were all so proud of her.
Our little poser with all of her ribbons.
Here are the videos of her passes.
Nice stick F!!
