Well, we just got back from F's first gymnastics meet in Dallas. She was sort of nervous going into it, because it was her first one, but she did such a great job and we're all so proud of her. Now she can't hardly wait until the next competition. Her first event was floor. Unfortunately (like most gymnasts), she is having a mental block and her head is not allowing her body to do her flip flops. She's been doing zillions of flip flops over the past several months but 2 weeks ago, she fell doing one and I think that has scared her. She's been pretty inconsistent on them ever since. So, at the meet, again her head did not allow her body to flip. :{ Luckily, her coach was able to keep her calm and they committed to working on it back at the gym. Her next event was the double mini, her least favorite. She's been struggling with that at the gym but really nailed it at the meet. We were so very proud of her and I think she was really excited as well.

She got 4th place in her flight and 8th place overall, among all the girls who competed at her age and level 6. Way to go Sweet Pea!!!

Her next event was tramp and that is probably her best event. She got 3rd place and 5th overall among all the girls her age and level 6 on tramp. So proud, considering it was the very first meet.
