After we went on the boat ride we went back to our hotel and settled in. The kids really wanted to get into the pool but it was 40 some degrees outside. They told us it was heated so we decided to go check it out. I am so glad we did. It was really warm and the hot tub was even better and we had the whole place to ourselves. The kids loved watching the steam rise around them when they got out of the water. Such a fun end to a really great day!

The next day we headed to Carlsbad Caverns. WE had stopped her when we moved to Tx and we've always wanted to take my Mom back so we finally had a free weekend to do it. (F our forever gymnast)
F and A decided to complete the tasks to become a Junior ranger at the park. They each had to complete 7 activities while they were there to earn their badge. Here F is interviewing a park ranger.
Entering the caves.
Looking back out at the opening.
J was so sweet. It is about an hour long hike into the caves and J was very watchful of his Grandma to make sure she didn't slip. I thought that was soo sweet.
Some of the formations in the cave.
Here are the stairs that the early explorers used to get down into the cave
The Big room - Is the size of 6 football fields.
Another ladder used by the early explorers.
Photo bomb. Mom wanted to take a picture with the kids but the Ranger hopped in instead. :}
