Sea World

The next day we went to Sea World. Let me tell you, the first few hours were probably the most miserable we've all been in a long time. In the morning when we woke up, it was pouring buckets!!! We had already bought our tickets so we had to go and like troopers we all set out. We had layers and layers of clothes and we all got Sea World ponchos to protect us but even through that we were cold, wet and miserable. We did the best we could and luckily 3 hours in the rain stopped and was clear for us the rest of the day. We were so thankful because the day ended up being really great!!

Here is the end of the day group picture. (notice we're smiling and finally dry... except for our shoes and socks which took about 36 hours to completely dry!)
This is how we looked all morning.
I love this picture. These dolphins were just so cute and the mouths look like they're smiling all the time.
The kids got to feed the dolphins and really enjoyed that.
Getting ready for the first show of the day. We all stayed up near the top covered and the kids of course, went down in the "SPLASH" zone.
Brave girl, waiting to get splashed.

Wet and cold.. still smiling though
This was at the show Azul with the beluga whales, dolphins and macaws.

I just love his profile and couldn't get enough of it so I had to snap a picture.
I LOVE Macaws. They are my favorite animal so this was really fun for me.
With the Azul cast members
Grandpa and A riding the Shamu Express.
Sea World has a new Sesame Street area of Play and even though the kids are a little big for Sesame street, they still had fun rides and it was fun to see some of the characters.

Here the kids are with Ernie and Bert.
The Count was so funny. See how he covered up F and A.
There they all are.
We, of course, loved the Shamu show.
A Momma and her baby

Cookie Monster. Yum, Yum, Yum

Grandma and A having fun on the merry go round.
Even Grandma, who doesn't like roller coasters, went on Shamu Express with the kids. Good job Grandma, taking one for the team. Check out J's expression on the ride.
There were also 3 other roller coasters that we went on and had a blast!! A and F are such daredevils and loved them all!!

Our last stop of the day was by the sea lions. We really enjoyed watching them interact and because it was the end of the end, hardly anyone was there and we really got to talk to the workers there and get to know a lot of the ins and outs of the sea lions and otters. Really, really fun. Plus, the sea lions were so cute!!
