Weekend trip to Dallas

Over Labor Day weekend we headed out of town to Dallas to mostly relax with our friends the Cottles and just have a nice weekend away before the business of soccer season sets in. We had a great weekend and of course, it went by way too fast. On Saturday we watched several soccer games (several Midland teams played up there that weekend so we went to watch) and then in the evening we ended it with a fun time at the FC Dallas game.

The boys getting ready for the game.
We played the Tigres from Mexico and I couldn't believe how crazy they were. For the whole 90+ minutes they made noise, yelled, sang, played instruments, waved banners and it never stopped!! They even were throwing things on the field like streamers and toilet paper.

The kids got their face painted
The boys being spiderman
And the girls. Thanks K for taking them to get their face painted and for the treats!
Our princess
FC Dallas won the game but because the Tigres won when they played in Mexico it went down to a nail biting shootout. They are rare so it was really fun to watch.

The kids were soo excited!!
GOAL!!!!!!!!
It came down to 6-5 and FC DAllas won. Everyone cheered, yelled and clapped.

J was beside himself. :}
On Sunday we relaxed in the morning and then headed up to do some shopping at the Outlet malls. I got a few things but it was just soo crowded so we didn't stay long. In the evening we went to a really fun steakhouse. They have a slide that the kids were able to go down... about a million times and we relaxed, had some margaritas and listened to great country music.

There was even a little dancing going on.
