Our Stud Soccer Player

(Beware, brief bragging about to happen) :} J started soccer a couple of weeks ago and just LOVES it. (what's new, it is a sport and it is fast) R is actually helping out as an assistant coach and soccer is something fun that they can both do together. It is fun watching them both out there. Anyway, J has been doing REALLY well. The first week he scored 7 goals, the second week he scored 9 and then last week it was 4. He just gets on the field and heads right to the goal. (that makes Mom and Dad so proud) I guess you can say he gets that from his Dad. We contemplated moving him up to the next age bracket because of his skill level but decided to keep him where he is so he can perfect his skills and still have R as his asst. coach. Regardless, most importantly he is having fun and getting great exercise. These pictures were taken his first week and they mostly played in the mud. J was just completely covered with mud. The kids got a quick lesson in how to play dirty. With as dirty as they were, it looked more like rugby than soccer.
