I just wanted to share with you all some exciting news. R is in Las Vegas for a CAHAM conference for work at the hospital. CAHAM is an organization comprised of Admitting Managers, Admitting and Registration Staff and Directors of Admitting and Patient Financial Services who wish to further their education through seminars, workshops, networking and conferences. Anyway, he just called to tell me he was nominated and won the Carl Satterfield award. (This is a discription of the award from CAHAM's website)
Each year CAHAM recognizes one individual with the Carl Satterfield Award. This prestigious award is bestowed upon one member at the Annual Educational Conference. Nominees for this award will demonstrate qualities and characteristics listed below:
Graciousness in their dealings with others, unselfishness and generous contribution of time and talents
Special and outstanding service, innovative in thinking problems through to solutions and establishing new and/or better programs
Working with department personnel bringing out the best in each individual and, therefore, having in their hospitals, an admission process that is efficient and patient oriented
Outstanding career accomplishments
WAY TO GO R!!! We are so proud of you. :}
PS. I will more pictures up of him and his award as soon as I get home from Vegas. Viva Las Vegas
