One day after school we decided to go to the Planetarium and check that out and then we took pictures at the Mansion nearby.

Last day before Christmas break we went and attended all of the kids Christmas parties at school. Here is F in her elf hat.

After school we hurried home and packed up to head to Carlsbad, NM. We had heard the boat ride on the Pecos river was pretty neat but I went online and called to get tickets and they were sold out. We decided to try one more last ditch effort and just showed up there to see about any cancellations. Miraculously, they were able to get us on the very next boat. So cool!!
There was a barbershop quintet that sang to everyone while we waited and they invited A to join in and he DID. He just jumped right in there next them and started singing. It was so neat. F joined them as well and I was just so proud of my kids for jumping right in and singing with the group.
Only in West Texas do people decorate their yard for Christmas with an Oil rig.
The boat tour was really neat. We sipped hot chocolate and rode in the Pecos river and saw all of the houses all decorated to the MAX!! Pretty fun.
