A visit from Mom

We were lucky enough to have my Mom here for about 11 days.  She left on the morning of Christmas Eve to get home to her Mom but we were very glad to have her here for a lot of the holiday activities and kids programs.  She came in very late at night but the kids REFUSED to go to bed without seeing her so we all piled into the car (kids in jammies) to go surprise her at the airport.  She was soo excited to see them there and very surprised.  Of course, we squeezed in a TON of activities while she was here, so I'll post the pictures in several posts.  Here are just some of the fun things we did while she was here.

Mom always calls us the Karg All Stars, because the kids are so active in sports and R and I are too, so we decided to have a shirt made for her, so she would have something to wear to all of the kids activities when she is in town.  She LOVED it!!
 This is the back of the shirt

 Happy kids... Very happy Grandma

J had been to a senior living facility a few days prior for a piano concert and he said he wanted to go back to wish them a Merry Christmas, so we came up with these cute small treats to hand out.

 Getting ready to go caroling and visiting at the senior living facility.  I remember going as a child and definitely not being thrilled about it, but our kids were such troopers and greeted everyone so nicely.  It definitely made the residents day but also filled all of our hearts with such joy.

Taking a break.  There were 3 floors and 2 wings on each side and the kids wanted to make sure we visited everyone that we could.

 Mom even got a tour of R's new hospital before it opened.  R's given tours for months now and he always tells people that this is the biggest toilet in Texas. :}
Mom got to see F at gymnastics.  It was a lot of fun for her to see how much F has improved since last year.

Ornaments from A. Vicki
 Mom also made these crafts with the kids for F's class and their teachers.  I think the reindeer turned out so cute!!

 J also had his Christmas Band concert.  Mom was so happy to be able to see it.  (I'll post a video of the concert soon)

 Mom and J's special dessert cake made of Swiss Cake rolls, yummy!!
